Thailand-Nicaragua to celebrate 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2025

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen Thailand-Nicaragua relations, with emphasis on possible activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries in 2025.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, welcomed and discussed with H.E. Mrs. Sandy Anabell Dávila Sandoval, Ambassador of Nicaragua to Thailand, with residence in Tokyo, who paid a courtesy call during her visit to Thailand for the Presentation of the Letters of Credence on 18 October. Also in attendance was Mr. Jak Chamikorn, Honorary Consul-General of the Republic of Nicaragua to Thailand.



On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to further strengthen Thailand-Nicaragua relations, with emphasis on possible activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries in 2025. The initiatives include the expedition of negotiations on a pending agreement, the promotion of technical and academic cooperation, economic collaboration, as well as people relations between Thailand and Nicaragua.
