Thailand – Philippines ‘6th Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC)’ in Bangkok

BANGKOK, Thailand – H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, welcomed H.E. Mr. Enrique A. Manalo, Secretary for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, who is on an official visit to Thailand, during which they had a productive bilateral discussion and co-chaired the 6th Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) between Thailand and the Philippines on 18 October.

On this occasion, both sides agreed to promote regular exchanges of high-level visits, expressed satisfaction to the positive dynamism of bilateral cooperation, and underscored the commitment to further strengthen cooperation, in particular on food and energy security, agriculture and fisheries, labour, culture and creative industries, alongside combatting transnational crimes like narcotic drugs, online scams, and human trafficking.

In addition, they also agreed to enhance coordination to support ASEAN’s roles on Myanmar and South China Sea, as well as on mutual assistance for respective citizens in the Middle East. (MFA)
