Thailand plays leading role in Greater Mekong Sub-region tourism

The initiative aims to enhance cooperation to push the target number of foreign tourists to the GMS to exceed 95 million by 2025.

Thailand is taking a leading role in Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) tourism by inviting executives of the National Tourism Promotion Agency and groups of entrepreneurs from more than 15 agencies to join the Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) 2024 in Khao Lak, Phang-Nga. The initiative aims to enhance cooperation to push the target number of foreign tourists to the GMS to exceed 95 million by 2025.

Participants were invited on a trip to explore tourism products and services in Phuket such as Ban Bang Rong Community and Phuket Old Town, as well as exploring sports, health and wellness, and gastronomy tourism activities in the area. (TAT)
