BANGKOK, 13 December 2013 Thailand thrashed Indonesia 4-1 in Group B football match of the 27th Southeast Asian Games currently held in Myanmar.
Thailand National Football team walked away with 3 points in their second match after a 4-1 victory over Indonesia.
Thailand came out aggressive and scored an early goal by Pokklao Anan after only just one minute into the game. It didn’t take long for the Thai side to add another goal after a poor clearance by an Indonesian defender, allowing Adisak Kraisorn to put the ball in the back of the net.
Into the second half of the 90-minute game, the second goal scorer was fouled inside the box as the referee awarded Thailand a penalty kick. Praweenwat Boonyong did not disappoint the Thai fans as he guided the ball past the Indonesian goal keeper from the penalty spot to make it 3-0.
Thitiphan Puangjan fired another magnificent goal from a counter-attacking play just 10 minutes before the final whistle to make it 4-0.
However, the Indonesian side did manage to get 1 goal back as a consolation point before the game ended.
Thailand now has six points from 2 matches and will face Myanmar next. And Indonesia, with three points in hand, will play Timor Leste in the next game.
