Thailand to host ‘13th ASEAN Education Ministers Meeting’ in Buriram Aug23-26

Digital technologies are becoming primary tools for creativity, innovation, production, and service, and they can enhance the quality of life by equipping learners with essential skills for life and careers.

Thailand will host the 13th ASEAN Education Ministers Meeting in Buriram Province, on 23-26 August 2024, under the theme “Transforming Education in the Digital Era.”

It is a meeting for education ministers, senior officials, and related persons from ASEAN, China, South Korea, and Japan, where they will discuss the digital transformation of education in ASEAN. Digital technologies are becoming primary tools for creativity, innovation, production, and service, and they can enhance the quality of life by equipping learners with essential skills for life and careers.



Apart from the meeting, the Ministry of Education will organize field trips to share experiences in teaching management at the levels of primary, secondary, and vocational education, and there will be exhibitions on Thailand’s Ministry of Education policy “Happy Learning,” which applies digital technology in educational practices.

Buriram was selected as the meeting venue because of its capacity to host big events and its status as an educational innovation hub, home to over 80 outstanding educational institutions and well-prepared teaching management. (PRD)
