BANGKOK, Thailand – The 43rd Thailand Tourism Festival has officially begun at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, running from March 26 to 30. Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., the event promotes domestic tourism and sustainable travel practices through a nationwide showcase of regional culture, food, and experiences.

Held under the theme “Reimagining Thai Tourism: A New Dimension Toward Carbon Neutral Tourism,” the festival is part of the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year 2025” campaign. The event introduces visitors to the “5 Must Do in Thailand” concept (Must Taste, Must Try, Must Buy, Must Seek, and Must See), designed to present each region’s distinct cultural and lifestyle elements through food, craft, tradition, and performance.

Nine exhibition zones feature curated travel experiences and interactive displays from Thailand’s five major regions. Visitors are encouraged to use the “Amazing Thailand” mobile app, which offers 3D maps and augmented reality features to help them navigate the venue and locate booths and attractions efficiently.

The event also continues its obligation to environmental responsibility with the “Zero Waste to Landfills” program, now in its third year. All waste from the festival will be processed using eco-friendly methods, and attendees are urged to manage resources responsibly, supporting sustainable tourism goals.

With a strong public turnout expected, the festival is seen as a key driver for boosting local economies, encouraging responsible travel, and reaffirming Thailand’s status as one of the world’s leading travel destinations. (NNT)
