The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand has revealed its statistics on the number of international tourists visiting Thailand in 2023 (from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023), which amounted to over 28 million.
According to the figures, the top five nationalities were Malaysia, with approximately 4.5 million, followed by China with 3.5 million, South Korea with 1.7 million, India with 1.6 million, and Russia with 1.5 million.
In 2024, the ministry has set a target to attract both domestic and international tourists through the promotion of lesser-known tourist attractions and the country as an all-season tourist destination. (PRD)
