BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand’s Meteorological Department forecasts scattered thunderstorms in the lower northeastern, eastern, central, and upper southern regions, including Bangkok and its surrounding areas.
For the next 24 hours, sporadic thunderstorms are anticipated across parts of the lower Northeast, East, Central Thailand, Bangkok, its vicinity, and the upper South. In the North and upper Northeast, cool morning temperatures and fog are expected. Authorities advise residents in these regions to protect their health due to changing weather, drive carefully through foggy areas, and encourage farmers to safeguard their crops from potential rain-related damage.
This weather pattern is attributed to easterly and southeasterly winds bringing moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand over these areas. Meanwhile, a weakening high-pressure system is covering the North and upper Northeast.
The weakened northeastern monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and the South results in isolated thunderstorms in the South, with light waves across the Gulf and Andaman Sea, reaching over 2 meters during thunderstorms. Sailors are urged to avoid areas with thunderstorms.
Additionally, Tropical Storm “Toraji” in the northern South China Sea is forecasted to approach southern China’s coast between November 14-15. It is expected to weaken into a tropical depression and further into a low-pressure cell. This storm is not expected to directly impact Thailand’s weather. Travelers heading to affected regions are advised to check conditions before departure.

North: Cool temperatures with morning fog and occasional light rain, mainly in upper areas. Low: 20-24°C, High: 32-35°C, Mountain areas: 9-16°C. Northeasterly winds at 10-15 km/h.
Northeast: Cool temperatures in the upper region with morning fog, 10% chance of rain, mainly in Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, and Sisaket. Low: 19-25°C, High: 32-35°C, Mountain areas: 14-18°C. Northeasterly winds at 10-20 km/h.
Central Thailand: Light fog in the morning with 20% chance of rain or thunderstorms, mainly in Lopburi, Saraburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, and Samut Songkhram. Low: 22-25°C, High: 33-36°C. Northeasterly winds at 10-20 km/h.
East: Morning fog with a temperature rise of 1-2°C, 30% chance of rain or thunderstorms, mainly in Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat. Low: 24-27°C, High: 31-35°C. Northeasterly winds at 10-30 km/h. Sea waves below 1 meter, over 2 meters in thunderstorms.
Southern East Coast: 30% chance of thunderstorms, mainly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. Low: 23-25°C, High: 33-35°C. Northeasterly winds at 10-30 km/h. Sea waves below 1 meter, over 2 meters in thunderstorms.
Southern West Coast: 30% chance of thunderstorms, mainly in Krabi, Trang, and Satun. Low: 24-26°C, High: 32-34°C. Easterly winds at 10-30 km/h. Sea waves below 1 meter, over 2 meters in thunderstorms.
