NAKHON SI THAMMARAT – Tourism and Sports Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul has traveled to the southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat to observe a tourism project in the capital district.
Mrs. Konkarn has visited the local wisdom village of Nakhon Si Thammrarat where she took the opportunity to see various activities reflecting the livelihoods of villagers such as a mock-up spirit festival, the making of nielloware, weaving of cloth, herbal medicine and traditional cookery.
The idea of setting up the village was suggested by a group of 100 local conservationists who are determined to protect the folk wisdom in different areas. The villagers organize different activities year-round to promulgate the centuries-old local knowledge and promote their community as a must-visit location in Nakhon Si Thammarat.
