Satun – The newly renovated Wang Prachan border checkpoint in Satun province has provided more convenience to people travelling between Thailand and Malaysia.

A customs officer in Thailand’s southern province, Sivakrit Jenvipit, said the renovation was completed on May 8 this year.

Sivakrit said Wang Prachan border checkpoint facilitates a large number of tourists who wish to visit Lipe Island and Satun Geopark as well as transportation between Thailand and Malaysia. He said people at the checkpoint can also buy various products at shops along the border.

He added that people without a border pass are not permitted to travel through the Thai-Malaysian border checkpoints.
