TRAT, 28 May 2015 – The Trat Chamber of Commerce and University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce have co-organized a logistics seminar to prepare business operators for the establishment of special economic zones (SEZ).

The seminar is aimed at informing local business operators on future logistics development, so they can adapt to changes and challenges related to SEZs.

Organizers also planned to use the meeting to hear local trade operators and collect their opinions on development plans in their region.

The province’s trade logistics to neighboring Cambodia relies mainly on land and sea transport. Land transport is becoming more important to the province. However, the Trat Chamber of Commerce said province lacks the infrastructure required to enhance border trade.

It urged the provincial administration to establish a comprehensive trade center, expand roads and improve marine transport to facilitate shipping to neighboring countries.
