Two women were killed last night after their car fell from the third floor of the multi-storied car park building of a famous department store in Hat Yai.
The two women killed were later identified as Ms Patama Phudsri and Ms Porntip Bunsingsee.
Investigation by Hat Yai police revealed that the Toyota Yaris car driven by Patama fell from the 3 A floor of the building of a department store in downtown Hat Yai.
Both died instantly inside the car.
Inspection of the carpark showed the steel railing of a space where the car parked was damaged, indicating it was crashed by the car from the rear.
Police said it was possible that the driver might put on the reverse gear when she started the engine. She might be shock and step on the accelerator instead of the brake.
