PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN – Prachuap Khiri Khan unofficially announced that 239,154 people or 59.30% of eligible voters in the province voted in the constitutional referendum on Sunday.
There are 403,293 eligible voters in all eight districts in the province.
186,361 voted “Yes” for the charter draft and 38,355 voted “No. ” 174,575 agreed with the empowerment of the Senate to choose the prime minister and 43,141 disagreed. There were 6,877 spoiled ballots.
A 76-year-old woman in Mueang district tore her ballot due to misunderstanding. The provincial Election Commission said it would take action against the woman according to election laws.
