BANGKOK, Thailand – The Meteorological Department reports a slight drop in temperatures and strong winds across upper Thailand, with cooler mornings expected in the northern and northeastern regions. Light rainfall is anticipated in parts of the western North and Central regions. Meanwhile, Bangkok and surrounding areas will also experience a slight temperature drop with breezy conditions.
The 24-hour forecast reveals that a moderate high-pressure system from China is covering upper Thailand and the South China Sea, contributing to cooler and windier weather in affected areas. The northern and northeastern regions will see cooler mornings, while sporadic rain is expected in the Northeast and parts of the western North and Central regions.
The department advises residents in upper Thailand to maintain their health amid these changing weather conditions. Farmers are urged to prepare for potential crop impacts from rain during this period.
In the South, the northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf of Thailand and the southern region will bring isolated thunderstorms. Moderate waves of around 1 meter are expected in the Gulf and Andaman Sea, rising to over 2 meters in stormy areas. Mariners should avoid navigating areas with thunderstorms.
Additionally, Typhoon “Man-Yi,” currently in the upper South China Sea, is expected to approach Hainan Island, China, between November 19-20. The typhoon is forecasted to weaken gradually. Travelers planning to visit these areas should check weather updates before departure.
For Bangkok and its vicinity, temperatures are predicted to slightly decrease with strong winds. Minimum temperatures will range from 24-26°C, with highs reaching 33-35°C. (TNA)
