US ambassador Glyn T. Davies has vowed to try to enhance relations between the United States and Thailand as a tribute to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej who, he said, established bilateral relations with 12 American past and present presidents.
The ambassador paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Office Minister Panadda Diskul at the Government House on Thursday to express his condolence and on behalf of the US administration for the passing of His Majesty the King.
He said he would like to share his personal sorrow with the Thai people for the loss of their beloved monarch and he understood the grief now experienced by the Thai people.
Ambassador Davies reportedly told Panadda that the US had a special bondage with the late King.
