BANGKOK, 24 June 2015 – A victory parade for returning SEA Games heroes has been staged to celebrate Thailand’s many wins during the biennial multi-sport event in Singapore.
The parade began at Victory Monument at around 3.30 pm Wednesday, before proceeding amid cheers to New Phetchaburi Road and arriving at Government House. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-Ocha presided over the grand celebration at Government House.
Roads used during the parade were not closed off but some lanes were sealed off to make room for the motorcycles and buses taking part in the parade.
During the 28th SEA Games, Thailand remained on top with a total of 95 gold medals
