BANGKOK- 1 Dec 2014, The Organizing Committee for the Celebrations of His Majesty the King’s 87th Birthday Anniversary- December 5, 2014 has asked every government department to have an event celebrating this auspicious occasion nationwide.
As in Bangkok, there’s the “Love Father” celebration at Sanam Luang and Ratchadamnoen Avenue starting November 30 – December 6, 2014. The “Love Father” event includes the exhibition about His Majesty the King’s work and talent, honor in many fields and royally-initiated projects which are based on Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy. Besides the “Love Father” celebrations, the Organizing Committee campaigns for wearing yellow shirts throughout December.
Government departments also has internal circular letter cooperating every section to have the government officers, administrators and employees wear the yellow shirt which represents the color of His Majesty’s birthday in order to show respect and loyalty and to be grateful to the King.
Office of the Permanent Secretary, The Prime Minister’s Office has launched the yellow polo shirts for those who are interested to buy for wearing or for souvenir at 250 Baht each. The shirt is yellow with the design of heart symbol with number 9 in it on the left pocket.
