SUPHANBURI, 27 May 2014 – The director of the Suphanburi Meteorological Station has advised people in the area about current weather changes that may affect agriculture.

A south monsoon is covering Andaman Sea and many areas in Thailand and a southeast monsoon is covering the Gulf of Thailand. During May 29 to June 1, a moderate southwest monsoon will further cover Thailand, Andaman Sea, and Thai Gulf, causing more rainfall, especially in western north, western central, eastern, and western south of Thailand.

Agriculturists who are preparing field for the new crop cycle should raise their plots and prepare proper drainage to prevent inactive water from accumulating, and herdsmen should remove the cages from water as well.

People in the area are advised to follow up the weather forecasts from Radio Thailand of Suphanburi on a daily basis.
