World Film Series returns with screening of ‘How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies’

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Contemporary World Film Series returns to TK Park in Bangkok with the screening of “How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies” as the opening film of its 2025 program. Directed by Pat Boonnitipat, the acclaimed Thai drama will be shown on Saturday, 29 March, at 4:00 p.m. and will include a post-screening reception and a Q&A session with the director.



The story follows a young man, “M,” who agrees to care for his terminally ill grandmother in hopes of inheriting her property. As family tensions surface, the film explores themes of love, ambition, and generational conflict. Usha “Taew” Seamkhum and Putthipong “Billkin” Assaratanakul make their feature film debuts in the lead roles.

It was Thailand’s submission for the 2024 Oscars and reached the final shortlist for Best International Feature Film.


Following the screening, guests will enjoy Thai cuisine by Chef Vanessa Wu of Kinnaree Restaurant and Monsoon Valley wines. Pat will take part in a discussion with the audience about the making of the film and its global reception.
