YALA, 16 August 2015 – State officials and local people of Yala province have witnessed the opening ceremony of Yala One Tambon One Product (OTOP) center today.
The YALA OTOP center will serve as a showcase for OTOP products across the southernmost province. Visitors looking for locally-made goods will from now on be able to shop for top selected items at the center. The governor of Yala has presided over the center’s inauguration.
One of the leaders of food processing groups said members of OTOP networks co-funded this facility following the success of their numerous food processing projects using local fruits as raw materials, including the recently launched Yala Durian Chips.
OTOP producers expect that the center will help advertise local products of Yala, thus boosting their incomes and employment opportunities.
