A Pattaya-born boxing promoter and the head of the Child Protection Development Center were chosen as two examples of good people dedicated to humanity and Thai culture by viewers of a Kantana Group television show.
Kru Yodthong Senanan, who began as a Muay Thai boxer and went on to open an eponymous camp for youngsters, and CPDC Director Supagon Noja were among 12 people selected for the “Memorial of Good People” award Jan. 17. Winners were selected by text-message votes from viewers of the TV show of the same name sponsored by Kantana.
Yodthong won in the “culture conservation and cultivation” category while Noja took the prize in the “dedication to humanity” area. Two other categories recognized “courageous dedication” and “dedication to Thai art.”
