Air Asia highlights U-Tapao hub with Pattaya travel fair

Discount airline Air Asia celebrated its growing presence at U-Tapao-Rayong-Pattaya Airport by hosting a travel fair to highlight its new Thailand destinations.

City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai and Siriwan Kiatwanitchsophon, Thai Air Asia’s domestic brand manager, opened the expo at Central Festival Pattaya Beach Jan. 30.

The fair was organized to stimulate tourism to the eastern region and show its economic and tourism potential by offering special air ticket prices for domestic and oversea trips from U-Tapao.

Air Asia has positioned the navy-operated Rayong airport as its fifth Thailand hub, offering direct flights to Singapore, Macao, and the Chinese cities of Nanning and Nanchang, as well as domestic destinations Chiang Mai, Udon Thani and Hat Yai.
