The Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort organized a one-day “Mirage Market” to introduce guests to locally made products and help Pattaya-area residents earn more money.
General Manager Andre Brulhart kicked off the retail event Feb. 15 at the Wong Amat resort, which considered the project part of its corporate goodwill program.
The market was organized by the Nongprue Social Welfare Division and the Center for Social Welfare Development of Banglamung. The groups collected a variety of products made locally and brought them to the Mirage Market to showcase and sell at reasonable prices.
The motive was to promote local products and generate income for local residents, specifically the elderly. All the proceeds from the sale went to the makers.
The market featured more than 20 booths offering hand-crafted products, handbags, local goods, food, organic vegetables, skin cream, soaps, shampoo, local herbs and more.
The Mirage Market is considered one of the very first joint events in conjunction with government sector and the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort.
