A Royal Garuda presented by HM the King to Centara Hotel & Resorts Group was hoisted to a place of honor at the chain’s Pattaya-area flagship, the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort.
Suthikiati Chirathivat, chairman of Central Plaza Hotel Pcl, presided over the ceremony to install the royal symbol atop the Wong Amat resort Nov. 24. Attending were the Chirathivat family, Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome, TAT Pattaya Director Suladda Sarutilavan, and management and staff from the resort.

The Centara Hotel and Resorts group is the first and only hotel operator in Thailand to have received the Royal Garuda from HM the King for its honest operation and loyalty.
The ceremony started with worshiping of the Brahma, the spirit house, the shrine for the grandfather and grandmother, followed by a Buddhist merit-making ceremony, and ended with lunch for the monks.
A crane reaches high into the sky to install the Royal Garuda atop the Centara Grand Mirage.
