CHIANG MAI – Tourism is starting to pick up in the upper part of Thailand after cool breezes arrived.

Thai and foreign tourists have been traveling to Baan Mong Doi Pui in the northern province of Chiang Mai to get a glimpse of picturesque flowers. Local people are now planting more flowers to welcome tourists whose number is expected to surge at the end of November.

In Loei Province, which is also a famous tourist destination in the north of Thailand, a large number of tourists have been seen taking beautiful pictures of fog at Phu Ruea National Park where on Sunday the lowest temperature was recorded as low as 15 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile in Sakon Nakhon Province, cattle farmers have to burn straw to keep their ruminants warm. Temperatures on Phu Phan National Park dropped to 14 degrees Celsius. Commuters have also been told to be extra cautious while on the road due to thick fog.
