When RS Components Company held their Southeast Asia Sales Conference at Dusit Thani Pattaya in May this year, their goal was not only to discuss sales strategies among counterparts from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines but also to reinvigorate their involvement in charitable work as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
One of the highlights of the convention, held May 10-13, was the setting up of a virtual children’s playground at the resort’s pillar-less Napalai Convention Hall where kids from Pattaya Orphanage enjoyed food, played games, won prizes and took home presents from the several booths that were festively decorated for the occasion.
(L to R) Chatchawal Supachayanont, general manager of Dusit Thani Pattaya, Suthee Wetchapruekpitak of RS Components Company, Ltd., (Thailand), Kevin J. Beauvais, chairman of Operation Smile Thailand and Therese Beauvais, secretary of Operation Smile Thailand.
Richard Huxley, general manager of RS Components and Jones Leung, VP of Sales were among the delegates who saw the delight in the children’s faces while they shared the joy with their friends.
The charity work did not end there as the company donated the amount of THB 82,000 to Dusit Smiles for Operation Smile (Thailand), the CSR program of Dusit International whose objective is to support surgery needed by children born with facial deformity.
