BANGKOK, 2 Nov 2014 – Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment have joined hands in a new project aimed at improving Thais’ quality of life.

The campaign is aimed at instilling social responsibility among the public for their communities. Both ministries have planned to launch a series of activities to urge people to see importance of waste management and wish to help solve environmental problems as a gift for HM the King’s 87th birthday anniversary.

Part of the activities include mass cleanup of public areas, canals, transport centers, parks, markets and roads. Each province will be required to map out its own environmental campaigns, in which all sectors can participate.

The project’s opening ceremony will take place on November 4, 2014 at Lumpini Park. The campaign will continue until September, 2015
