Japan Airlines (JAL) will introduce a Premium Economy service on one of its two daily flights between Tokyo (Narita) and Bangkok from January 16 next year.

The flights will use a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, which features the airline’s JAL Sky Shell Flat Seats in executive class. The seats have a shell-shaped sliding seat-back design, which ensures passengers’ private space is maintained throughout the flight. They are also 20 percent more spacious than regular economy class seats.

JAL’s Premium Economy service is already available on routes between Tokyo and the airline’s main gateways in Europe (London, Frankfurt, Paris and Moscow), four destinations in mainland US (New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles), as well as Jakarta, New Delhi and Sydney.

Ticket sales and reservations for the Premium Economy service to and from Bangkok have started.
