BANGKOK, June 12 – Thai passport holders will soon be exempted from visas for short stays in Japan, the Japanese Embassy in Bangkok announced.
It said the visa relaxation was aimed at enhancing Thai-Japanese relations and that the Japanese government is in the final process of discussion before making an announcement soon.
The visa exemption should be ready in time for the coming summer while those who have applied and paid for their visas will not be refunded, it said.
