LAMPHUN, 8 January 2014 – Lamphun Province has warned locals in all districts to be prepared harsh weather condition expected between January 8-10.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the strong high pressure system from China covering the northern and northeastern parts of Thailand will cause severe weather condition in the said areas, which includes thunderstorm with gust;in addition, some areas will experience hail. The temperature is expected to dramatically drop by 3 to 4 degree Celsius.
The Lamphun authotities have ordered local agencies to be prepared for possible storm and cold snap, which might cause damage to agricultural products. Local residents should also brace themselves for possible incidents affecting their lives and properties.
