BANGKOK, 12 August 2015 – Nok Air is preparing to activate measures to compensate passengers affected by the malfunctioning check-in system that caused severe delays for travelers on the morning of Mother’s Day.
Passengers were unable to check-in for their early flights at Don Muang airport after the airline’s check-in system crashed around 5AM on Wednesday.
According to media reports, only departures to Buri Ram, Chumphon, Krabi and Phrae were not delayed by the error. The system was successfully repaired by 9AM.
Nok Air CEO Patee Sarasin has apologized for the mishap and announced that the airline will be compensating passengers who were delayed by the check-in issue. Details of the measures will be announced on August 13, after the list of passengers affected is finalized.
