Relevant agencies in Phuket have met to discuss a plan to boost tourism of the southern province.
The meeting, chaired by Governor Noraphat Plodthong, aimed to enable the bodies involved to share their ideas to create tourism that answers the needs of visitors and local people in a constructive manner.
The sectors involved were asked to combine their efforts to create tourism branding for Phuket province to enhance its strengths, develop community tourism to enable model communities to stand on their own feet, and foster connectivity among provinces along the Andaman Sea.
The participants also discussed a budget spending plan to increase tourism-based revenue for 2020.
