TAK, 27 May 2015 – Road access to the Thi Lo Su Waterfall will be temporary closed from June to September due to the season’s weather risks, while providing a restoration period for animals and the forest, according to Tak’s TAT Office.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand, Tak Office (TAT Tak) and the Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary today announced the temporary closure of the 25 kilometres road access, from the Huai Nong Luang Forest Protection Unit to Thi Lo Su Waterfall, from 1 June – 30 September 2015 due to driving difficulties in the rainy season.

The road closure will also provide a restoration period for the forest, allowing wild animals to live and breed in their natural habitats without any outside interference.

The Thi Lo Su Waterfall will only be accessible by an inflatable boat cruise, starting from the Umphang District flowed by trekking, or the 25 kilometre trekking route.

Visitor’s entrance to the Thi Lo Su Waterfall during the road closure period must receive authorization from Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary officials. For more information, please contact TAT Tak tel 0-5551-4341-3, e-mail [email protected].
