Pattaya’s Sunbeam Hotel threw itself a party to celebrate earning its fourth “star” for quality.
Sunbeam owner Rungthip Suksrikarn hosted the Dec. 18 celebration, with guests including Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome, Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Director Niti Kongkrut and top Chonburi and tourism-industry officials.

Rungthip was praised in various speeches for her business acumen as well as community service as the new president of the Lions Club of Pattaya-Pratamnak.
The party featured a lavish buffet, dance show, fashion show and donations to the Thai Red Cross.
Among the upgrades to the hotel includes the opening of a new health center and spa.
