BANGKOK, 29 September 2015 – Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang Airport have received the business continuity management certification under the ISO 22301:2012 standard as well as the TISI 22301-2556 standard.
According to Airports of Thailand Plc. (AOT) President Nitinai Sirismatthakarn, the AOT has been making effort to ensure that its operations comply with the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) standard on airport business operation. As a result, Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports have now been certified for business continuity management that complied with the ISO 22301:2012 standard and the equivalent standard set by Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI). The certification was made by United Registrar of Systems Ltd.
Mr. Nitinai revealed that the AOT was also working to enable four other airports under its management to be certified under the same standard. The four airports include Phuket Airport, Chiang Mai Airport, Chiang Rai’s Mae Fah Luang Airport, and Hat Yai Airport in Songkhla. The AOT was aiming to have its head office and the four airports certified under the standard within 2016.
