The Tourism Authority of Thailand will highlight food, shopping and business meetings to drive tourists to Pattaya and the east in 2018.
TAT Pattaya office Director Suladda Sarutilavan and Eastern Region Director Kritsada Rattanapruk rolled out the agency’s latest cornucopia of marketing slogans for the coming year at a Sept. 5 press conference at the Mövenpick Siam Hotel.
Among the slogans used for their marketing plans targeting multi-generational families, are ‘Colors of the east – fusion of delicious cuisine’, ‘Thai way of tourism – Chic and Gracious’, ‘Amazing Ladies Journey’ to promote ‘high-end’ tourism by women’s groups, and ‘Chonburi MICE City’ focusing on Pattaya’s abundance of venues and facilities to accommodate large scale meetings and conventions.
TAT also wants to challenge millennials and Generation Y tourists to “to travel across the regions” and encourage tourists and business people to visit on weekdays by offering discounts of 33 percent.
