BANGKOK, April 21 – Thai AirAsia X, a low-cost airline flying long-haul flights of at least 4 hours, is launching a Bangkok-Seoul route, starting June 17.
CEO Nadda Buranasiri said the Don Muang-Incheon route will be operated with an Airbus A330-300. Reservations start from April 22, 23.00 (local time), through May 3 with special ticket prices for the first 5,000 seats are set at Bt1,990/flight for the flight period from June 17 this year through April 30, 2015.
The Bangkok-Seoul route will operate one flight daily from Don Muang-Incheon at 8.25-15.25 and Incheon-Don Muang at 16.50 to 20.40.
Mr Nadda said he was confident the airline will receive good feedback from passengers. The number of passengers per flight is initially forecast at 80-90 per cent, for it is Thais’ favourite route, particularly for young travellers opting to plan their own trips.
Other long-haul routes to be operated one flight daily by Thai AirAsia X by this year are from Don Muang to Tokyo and Osaka at Narita and Kansai International Airports respectively.
The airline will consider increasing the number of flights after a route has been open for 3-6 months. (MCOT online news)
