THAI to provide air cargo service with Boeing 747-400

BANGKOK, 11 April 2012  – Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) is ready to provide air cargo service to nine major cities on its Boeing 747-400 freighter aircraft, starting on 12 April.

THAI has announced that it has commissioned the Boeing Company to convert two of its Boeing 747-400 aircraft into freighter with a capacity to carry 100 tons of cargo per flight. The first freighter aircraft will start providing air cargo services on 12 April on flight TG862 on the Bangkok-Taipei-Narita-Bangkok route. Air cargo service will be available on THAI routes in Asia, Europe and Australia, with destinations to nine major cities, including Taipei, Tokyo, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Sydney and Bangkok.

THAI also provides chartered flights for customers who wish to import or export large bulks of goods to their desired destinations.
