CHINAG RAI – Hot springs in the northern province of Chiang Rai are popular among tourists during this period when the temperature decreases. The lowest temperature in the province is 20C in the morning and at night.
One of the most popular hot springs flocked by the local people and tourists is Pa Tueng hot spring on Mae Chan – Fang road in Chan district. Believed to relieve skin conditions and joint pains, the hot spring spurts water of 70 – 109C about 10 meters above the ground. There are pools and gardens surrounding it for people to relax and enjoy.
People who are traveling to Chiang Rai’s famous Doi Mae Salong usually stop by Pa Tueng hot spring conveniently located on the way to the mountain.
