Bangkok, October 30, 2013 – Thailand’s largest annual international bazaar, which is marking its sixth decade this year, will be back on November 30 and December 1 at Live on Level 8 and Zen Event Gallery at CentralWorld.

The 60th YWCA International Charity Bazaar is organised by diplomatic wives from international embassies and the Young Women?s Christian Association of Bangkok with an aim to raise funds for various foundations and charity projects in the form of cash contributions and in non-cash aid such as scholarships and vocational training.

With more than 286 booths, the fair offers high-quality goods from 38 countries at special prices. Highlighted products include natural pearls and silk from China, fine wines and cosmetics from France, Persian carpets from Iran, Bally-branded leather goods from Switzerland, beers and meats from Germany, vodkas from Russia, caviar from Denmark and ginseng and kimchi from South Korea.

Proceeds from the 60th YWCA International Charity Bazaar will be allocated to The Chai Pattana Foundation, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn?s project for Needy Children and Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali?s project for HIV/AIDS victims.

Funds will also go to the Rajaprajanugroh Foundation, one of His Majesty King Bhumibhol Adulyadej?s Projects aimed at helping young people succeed, as well as other worthy causes both here in Thailand and neighbouring countries.

The YWCA International Bazaar has been held every year since 1954 and is traditionally organised by the YWCA and spouses of Thailand-based ambassadors and diplomats. This year?s Chairperson for the Bazaar is Mrs. Catherine Viteau wife of the Ambassador of France.
