The next meeting of the Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be held on Sunday, August 20. Neurologist Dr. Niyom Pisitpipattana, M.D., from Bangkok Hospital Pattaya will speak on the topic of “Age related changes in memory, Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease”. The Pattaya Marathon 2017 will take place on Sunday, September 3 with a start and finish point on Pattaya Beach Road. There are five categories of competition: full marathon, half marathon, 10.55 km run, 3.7 km wheelchair and the 3.7 km fun run race. The 3rd Pattana Triathlon Festival will take place on 16 -17 September at Pattana Golf Club & Resort in Sriracha. The triathlon and duathlon will start from 05.00 am while the children’s triathlon and 5km Fun Run will start from 08.00 am. An accompanying expo will feature sports equipment, food and a nutrition forum. The trophy presentation will take place at 6.00p.m. and will be followed by a music concert featuring MILD, getsunova and variety of other bands. Yamato Restaurant located on Soi Yamato has been around for more than 35 years and the soi was named after its oldest tenant. Just look for the Japanese characters on the blinds outside.
