The next meeting of the Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26. Member John Lynham will give a short slideshow presentation on his recent visit to the Thailand Tourism Festival in Lumpini Park (Bangkok). There will be additional program items which are in the process of confirmation. The Club meets every Sunday morning at the Tavern by the Sea Restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program starts at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
The Honda LPGA Thailand 2017 golf tournament takes place at Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course from 23–26 February. The top 60-female golfers in the world including Thai No. 1 Ariya Jutanugarn, plus 10 invitees, will compete for the prestigious title and total prize money of US$1.6 million. Admission (pay on the gate) is 300 baht on Feb, 23 and 24, 400 baht on Feb 25 and 500 baht on Feb. 26. Four-day passes are also available at a cost of 800 baht. Thai Polo and Equestrian Club will once again host the Pattaya Family Bike Day on Saturday March 4 starting at 1.30 p.m. There will be a number of off road cycling trails to suit all abilities and riders, with all attendees being treated to a sunset barbeque catered by the Holiday Inn Pattaya. More than just an afternoon of cycling, it is a day out for families with a great range of additional activities including pony rides, a bouncing castle and food and beverage stalls. Registration Price for bike riding participants is: Adults & children 13 years and over – 800 THB, Children 2 – 12 years – 500 THB, and for non-riding participants: Adults & children 13 years and over – 600 THB, and Children 2 – 12 years – 300 THB. All profits from this volunteer-run event go directly to the charities.
Dr. Ulrich Eder, the managing director of tax and corporate law firm Pugnatorius, will be holding a seminar at the next meeting of the Rotary Club of Phoenix Pattaya.
