Events

The next meeting of the Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be held on Sunday, July 2. The PCEC will hold a brief Annual General Meeting which will be followed by a presentation from Brad Walker about ‘Doing Business as an Expat in Thailand’. The program starts at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the 4th floor of the Holiday Inn’s Executive Tower, located behind the Holiday Inn’s Bay Tower on Beach Road.

The 2017 Pattaya Bikini Beach Race will take place on Saturday, July 1 (16:00 – 19:00) from a start point opposite Central Festival Pattaya Beach shopping mall. There are a number of categories and distances to choose from should you wish to participate, from a bikini fun run over 3km to the more strenuous 9km event. Runners will be separated into age groups from 16-40 and over 40 for both male and female events. There is also a competition for the best bikini worn by both sexes. World class motorsport action comes to the Eastern Seaboard as the battle for supremacy continues at the Bangsaen Grand Prix, taking place at the stunning beachfront track of Bangsaen Street Circuit from June 27 – July 2 in Chonburi. The inaugural edition of Ladies European Thailand Championship will be held at Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club in Pattaya from July 6-9. The tournament carries a purse of 300,000 Euro (approx. 12 million baht) and will feature the best European Tour players alongside 40 Thai LPGA golfers and 16 invites. Daily tickets for spectators cost 100 baht payable at the gate (free entry for spectators under 18 years old and over 60 years old).

The chef’s special this week at Yupin’s Restaurant in Jomtien Complex is Yupin’s own Indian lamb curry, made with lamb fillets seared in home-made ghee, and home ground spices.
