Mad Dogs Motorcycle Club of Pattaya is holding a Mad Dog Poker Run Rally on Saturday, 19th November in aid of the Animal Shelter in Mabprachan.  Bikes and bikers of all sizes are welcome; the cost for big bikes is 1,000 baht & small bikes 600 baht which includes lunch, refreshments, evening buffet & top entertainment.  Bikers are asked to assemble for registration at the Kho Khun Restaurant at Soi 6 on North Pattaya Road by the Fairtex Gym and Resort at 10.00 a.m.

Margot Weinmann from the National Museum Volunteers of Bangkok will be conducting a lecture on Thai culture titled “The Peoples of Thailand” at the North Star Library, Pattaya on Friday 25 November starting at 10 a.m.  The lecture will take you back in time to explore how “Thainess” developed over the centuries and discuss where the different peoples may have come from that we now know as Thais.  Admission is open to everyone and is by donation of 100 baht (to the library) payable at the door.

A Northern Soul Charity Event will be held on November 25 at “Play” Club (formerly Goodfellas) on Walking Street to raise funds for the Mercy Centre Pattaya.  The event starts at 8 p.m., going on until midnight with a 300 baht cover charge at the door

Pattaya Beach Road will be playing host to an International Fireworks Competition on December 16-17 in honor of the 84th Birthday of His Majesty the King.  Displays teams from around the world will be competing along a 3km stretch of Pattaya Bay from 3 p.m. in what promises to be a spectacle not to be missed.

Clubs and Associations

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, November 20.  Everyone is warmly welcome.  The Club’s speaker will be a health professional from Phyathai Sriracha Hospital.  The Club meets every Sunday morning at the Tavern by the Sea restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Each week the PCEC usually has an interesting speaker to talk on various subjects of interest in an informal setting. The program is followed by the ever lively and often humorous Open Forum where questions are asked and answers given about living in Pattaya as well as an update on events in and around Pattaya.
