More than 200 people had to be evacuated when fire broke out at a
North Pattaya massage center.
Pattaya Disaster Prevention and Mitigation firefighters were called to
Pavilion Massage on Second Road near Soi 1 Feb. 13 and took about 5 minutes
to extinguish the blaze. Damage was limited to a 10,000 baht air conditioner
and no one was injured.
An employee said about 200 people, including a large tour group, fled the
building after a fire alarm sounded. Investigators suspected a short in the
air conditioner started the blaze.
