The TFI (Thai Farang Initiative) team held an exciting event in the run
up to Christmas. With two highly successful music themed evenings under their
belts, the team decided to change tack and focus on children by hosting the
Jolly Kids Xmas at Jameson’s.
This took place on the afternoon of Sunday the 8th of December at Jameson’s
Irish Pub where over 70 kids came along with their parents to enjoy the bouncy
castle, free food and drinks for the kids, a ukulele player, kids entertainer
Doc Penguin, face painting and of course Santa who gave each child a present.
This event was free, and TFI saw it as a way of giving back to the community.
The kids had a great day out and the parents were able to relax and let the kids
do their thing so they could enjoy the all day happy hour drinks and the
delicious roast dinners that Jameson’s is famous for.
Kim Fletcher from Jameson’s generously provided all the kids food and drinks for
free and gave TFI back 50 percent of all revenue from the sale of roast dinners.
This came to 8,500 baht. Another well known face at Jameson’s, Chef Kai-Uwe
Klenz, added another 1,500 baht to make it up to 10,000.
The sponsors for the day were Pattaya Realty Residential & Commercial, The
Rivieria, Key Visa, MBMG and assistance from the Party Hire Shop, Doc Penguin, &
Thai Party Hire who provided the bouncy castle.
Kids from the ATCC are treated to
new football kits.
This great day out for the kids with the help of the sponsors
enabled TFI to make a profit of 55,000 baht and on Sunday the 14th of December
the TFI team handed over football kits to 28 youngsters from the Anti Human
Trafficking & Child Abuse Center at Planet Football. The kids were also
presented with new training shoes provided by Shaun Houlding who recently did a
sponsored trek to the base camp of Mount Everest.
The kids were given rudimentary training my John Ungi then, after a game of
football, the kids were treated to delicious pizzas with the compliments of Nick
the Pizza.
