Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and members of his cabinet recently gathered at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort for a high-profile mobile cabinet meeting. Amongst the items discussed on the agenda were a rescue package aimed at boosting tourism figures which have been severely dented by the SARS crisis. Chanyo Keocharoon (left), assistant supervisor at the Thai Garden Resort was selected as Employee of the Year 2002. Chanyo was given his award by the hotel’s general manager, Rene Pisters (right).


General manager, Chalermsri Sighapantu and assistant general manager, Anusak Rodboonme, presided over a ceremony at Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel to present scholarships to overseers’ children to help them with their studies.

Dr. Chumpol Pornprapa, vice-chairman of the National Economic and Social Advisory Council recently presided over the wedding celebration of Warunee Jaruwattanayont, daughter of Thamrong-Araya Jaruwattanayont and Burin Chanrakkarnkha, son of Sornchai-Nipa Chanrakkarnkha (Mit Yon Pattaya Co., Ltd.) at Napalai Ballroom of the Dusit Resort Pattaya Hotel. Achana Snitwongse Na Ayudhaya, managing director of the Montien Hotel, Pattaya recently hosted the hotel’s annual staff party, this year themed “A colorful night” and held in the Cattleya Ballroom at the Montien Hotel, Pattaya.


The boys of Cobra Gold, Arnold Albrecht, Joe Hoosech, Joe Bethel, Gerardo Gaje and Richard Taylor presented a plaque of appreciation to Beautiful & the Landlord (and no, this isn’t the name of a rock group) for the good service they received and all the fun they had at Shenanigans Pattaya.
