The Art Cafe opens special exhibition entitled 'The Lovers'

Pattaya's Art Cafe - a virtual forum for art and culture - on Monday, December 15 opened their latest exhibition. Titled "The Lovers", it features over 60 pieces of work by Phayao Butsumran and Bandhit Kotmanee, two young artists from Khon Khaen.

The young couple's work focuses on modern and abstract styles.

The Art Cafe's congenial host, Jo Stetten unveiled the new exhibition during an exhibition preview cocktail reception in the restaurant's garden.

Bandhit explained that the concept behind the art was driven by couple's love for each other, and focuses on modern and abstract styles.

Phayao added that they both love the arts and that they put their hearts and spirits into their pieces. "I am very happy that people like our work and that we have an opportunity to exhibit our work," said Phayao with a smile.

The exhibition will wind up at the end of December with all pieces for sale, so if you're an art fan drop into the Art Cafe, Soi 16, Naklua Road, North Pattaya.

‘Warm Family Day’ deemed huge success

The YWCA in Pattaya recently met for their monthly meeting in which they reviewed the annual activities and associated expenses. The Cabbages & Condoms Resort in Pattaya hosted the meeting and provided the perfect setting for the ladies to review the past year’s performance, and in particular, the recent ‘Warm family Day’ activities at Mike Shopping Mall where they handed out numerous scholarships to local school children.

The YWCA in Pattaya recently met at the Cabbages & Condoms Resort in Pattaya for their monthly meeting.

Nitaya Patimasongkroh conducted the event with the secretary reading out the list of items such as coupons, photos, display props and gifts for the children. Members agreed to the list of expenses and conferred that the event was an outstanding success.

Following the formalities, the group of ladies moved on for a dinner at the restaurant, known for its own contributions to society through various projects. They also engaged in games and activities as part of the end of year Christmas festivities, enjoying each other’s company as well as the seaside atmosphere.


Clough-Unithai Engineering holds annual get-together

Clough-Unithai Engineering Ltd. held their annual ‘Get-Together 2003’ in the Red Baron Restaurant at the Amari Orchid Resort. The function also served to bid a sad farewell to Dave Morrison and his lovely wife Pauline.

Dave has been with the company since its inception in the year 2000 and his wife has been very involved in community charity work. Dave & Pauline will be returning to Thailand in the New Year after holidaying back home in Scotland.

It was a jolly good time at the Red Baron Restaurant when CUEL celebrated their annual get-together.
