Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC)
will hold its regular Sunday morning meeting on May 30 at Henry J.
Bean’s Restaurant at the Amari Orchid Resort, at the north end of Beach
Road. As always an international and Thai buffet breakfast, catered by Amari
Orchid Resort, is available from 9.30 a.m. prior to the commencement of the
meeting. The meeting starts at 10.30 a.m. and finishes about noon. There is
ample parking available in the parking area across from the beach and next to
Henry J. Bean’s on the left side of Beach Road, just after the turn.

holidaymakers and expats alike. This light humoured, general knowledge quiz
kicks off at 9 p.m. and the winning team gets a round of drinks and the chance
to answer the rollover question which last week was won by “The Old
Buggers” from England, who managed to scoop the 3,000 baht jackpot. Free pie
& chips and the quizmasters bad pronunciation makes for a fun evening. The

Ripley’s is searching for Thailand’s 3rd Hot Dog
Eating Champion. Dairy Queen, in conjunction with Ripley’s
Believe It or Not! Museum Pattaya and the Royal Garden Plaza,
extend an open invitation to all Thai nationals and expatriates living
“legally” in Thailand, 20 years old and above, to participate in the 3rd
Annual Thailand Hot Dog Eating Championship on Saturday, June 5th at the
shopping plaza. The winner will receive a significant cash award and prizes
worth up to 100,000 baht. The spectators will also see “a giant” hot dog
and bun created by Dairy Queen. They will be sold to raise funds to help
underprivileged children supported by the Good Shepherd Foundation in Pattaya.
