Thailand phase of CARAT exercise series underway
Capt.
Michael McNamara, dental officer on the staff of Commander, Logistics Group
Western Pacific, coaxes a 7-year-old Thai student to open her mouth while a
Royal Thai Navy nurse translates. The Dental Civil Action Project (DENCAP) was
performed at the Ban Yai Chan School during the Thailand phase of exercise
Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT), which began June 30. For more

City looks at traffic management with
a view for change
Residents vote overwhelmingly in favor of air-con bus service
Pattaya’s longstanding traffic woes may soon be over if the
new city administration gets its way. A review of a research project was
presented at a meeting with Prof Dr Thawatchai Laosirihongtong, director of the
traffic research and development department at the King Mongkut Institute of
Technology, and research officers last Thursday morning.
Prof Dr Thawatchai revealed that a survey conducted among
passengers showed that 98 percent were satisfied with the air-con bus service,
whereas two percent favored the Songtaew (baht bus) Cooperative.

bride Miss. Amanda Leigh Plesa from U.S.A who celebrated their wedding at
Cattleya Ballroom the Montien Hotel, Pattaya. They were joined by family,
friends and well-wishers.

A youthful Leicester University trounce Pattaya Panthers 64 - 14
A jet lagged and hung over Leicester University squad
arrived at Shenanigans on Saturday morning with slightly less enthusiasm
than they did the night before. They were loaded, very delicately, into
Songtaews (baht buses) and transferred to the grounds. The venue, as ever,
was Horseshoe Point and as always the facilities and service were superb.
